THE STORY OF MODERN PAST PRESENT
After losing my grandmother in 2009, I worked through my grief by pulling all the photos I could find of of her, with the aim of telling her life story in one image. Collecting images from her life was the most joyous therapy for me and every image I found was a puzzle piece into her immense life. That was the birth of Modern Past Present, taking things from the past and modernizing them to tell an artistic story in the present.
Since that day we have worked with thousands of people who have lost loved ones, want to pay homage to someone, or just want to make custom art out of keepsakes. Archiving the past is how we learn about who we are in the present. Our project aims to tell a story for you through art in many ways, while preserving your archives in both digital and analog formats so that can be enjoyed for years to come.
