I lost my last remaining grandfather this January and before he passed he actually helped me collect images of his life and told me stories. Well, I say we were lucky to save a whole bunch of family history that he had stored away in various places that were falling down. Riley was a very interesting character and a brilliant mind and can be seen throughout all of his images in life. We weren’t that close but I respected him and what he worked for his whole life. I hope I got some of his wit but know that I got my artistic license from him.
